Magical Time in Orlando

After a whirlwind time in Austin, Texas for South By Southwest, the PR’UF team was excited to make the trip down to Orlando for the 6th Annual Orlando Code Camp held at Seminole State College on March 26th. With over 600 people in attendance at this one-day event, the PR’UF booth was abuzz all day long. Attendees were more than interested to find out exactly what “PR’UF” was, and when explained, immediately grasped the concept: PR’UF is a community of experts who help qualify candidates in the hiring process.

It was also great to see Orlando Code Camp presenting talks from 5 experts in the PR’UF system:

Henry Lee - “Learn to Use Accelerometer and Location Service (GPS) in Windows Phone Application” and “Windows Phone 7 Animation”
Mike Potts - “Continuous Deployment on Azure”
Tim Butts - “Using Lucene.net on Azure”
Zachary Gramana - “Using C# as a Scripting Language”
Eugene Chuvyrov - “Introduction to Rx.NET for Windows Phone 7 & .NET Framework

Overall, Orlando Code Camp was another successful trip for PR’UF. The team captured over 50 signups for potential candidates looking for jobs, experts interested to get involved, and companies eager to know when they could use the system. Thanks to everyone who came out and stopped by the booth. We’ll see you at the next stop!
